Antihistamine

Novomin has anti-emetic properties and is used for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting, such as in travel or motion sickness.

Each 5ml contains Dimenhydrinate 15mg, Sodium Benzoate 0.13%w/v as preservative.

To be administered orally. Unless otherwise prescribed by the physician: For prevention of travel sickness, the first dose should be taken 30 minutes before the journey. Dosage can be repeated every 8 hours if necessary. Children 2 to 6 years: 2.5ml to 5ml Children 7 to 12 years: 10ml to 15ml

It should not be used in persons with known allergy to this drug.

This medicine may cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive motor vehicles or operate machinery. Avoid alcoholic drinks

Drowsiness may be experienced by some patients, especially on higher dosage.
