Topical Corticosteroids

Soneta is indicated for the relief of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses, such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis

Mometasone Furoate USP 1 mg

Each tube contains 5/30g Cream

A thin film of Soneta should be applied to the affected skin areas once daily. Soneta Cream is specially suitable for moist lesions and Soneta Ointment is suitable for dry lesions.

Soneta is contraindicated in those patients with a history of sensitivity reactions to any of its components of the preparation. Like other topical corticosteroids, Mometasone Furoate is contraindicated in most viral infections of the skin, tuberculosis, acne rosacea, perioral dermatitis, fungal skin infections and ulcerative conditions.

Soneta is generally well tolerated. Side effects that have been reported are burning, tingling/stinging, itching, irritation, dryness, folliculitis, hypertricosis, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis and allergic contact dermatitis.
